This residence is a study in reimagining beauty from what is present. The clients, a pair of mixed-media artists and art enthusiasts, had long sought a contemporary house in Jackson to display their own work and wider collection. Ultimately, instead of building something new, they turned to our architects to repurpose an existing, traditional log cabin into a livable gallery space. This decision, and the resulting modernized house, reflect the couple’s creative and resourceful approach to their work and life.
"People want to feel a connection to nature in their homes; this is natural, timeless, and modern all at the same time."
—Matt Thackray, Architect
